At the age of 10 I decided to make music. At first there was only the thought of a band. So with real people playing instruments like guitars and keyboards. I liked to play the drums. The result was not very hearable freestyle-music. But this was only for a short time.
After that I decided to make music with my first computer. But now on my own. There was a very interesting MIDI-program included by my soundcard. With this tool I created more than 100 songs. The first ones were also not very hearable. With more time the songs became better. But as I already said: It was a MIDI-program. The sound of the instruments was very poor.
In the meantime I choosed my artist-name (DJ LEFTI). A few months later I thought, that I am not really a "DJ" only through producing some songs. So I bought a little cheap DJ-Set with two turntables, a mixer and a CD-player. Additionally I took an old cassette-deck for recording. OK, and now I started to be like the big famous DJ's. To get two different songs with different speed to the same is not easy for a beginner!
After a year had passed I could say, that I am able to present my DJ-abilities in public. Later there were some decisive stations (see gigs-section). At the moment I am negotiating with a firm from Gladbeck which promotes and mediates DJ's. More acctual news soon in the news-section or in LEFTI's Newsletter.
